Vintage photographs have often fascinated the artist. Photographs in the past were used more for documentation than the perfect Kodak moment. People did not smile. People did not strike a pose. In many regards, these images are more authentic than current snapshots. However as a result of the less staged shot, the images can appear drearier and darker. The subjects can appear angry and cross. This series of black and white ink drawings focuses on the nostalgia and haunting qualities of these images.
